Today's economy have you tightening your belt? Do you really need that projector, that extra set of speakers, the digital signage, the crestron controller? • Do not forget the future: Pre-wire? Additional components? Remember, the system is not just for today, it needs to be prepared to grow with your business. It is not how much it costs today, but how much it costs forever...ie you do not want to pay to do it again because you did not take into consideration your future needs.
• Built for the future: Hand-in-hand with not forgetting the future is not living it already. As long as you prepare the infrastructure for tomorrow, you can often leave room to "put in that extra conference room" when you have the need for it. It is sometimes a delicate balance, but one that is necessary to satisfy the customer.
• Stay Realistic: When taking into account what you need your system to do, you cannot always cut corners and get the same effect. On your way home tonight, think of how much money in taxes would be saved if they built all those bridges you drive across out of wood instead of steel. But is that what you really want?
• Standards: If it is worth doing, it is worth doing right. In the long run, we know a satisfied client is worth more than the largest job.
• Do not rely on changing prices: How often has a project been delayed to "hold out" for lower prices, only to discover that the during the delay the project just became unattainable?
• The newest thing: We all want to be on the cutting edge, and we all want the "state-of-the-art" equipment we saw in a magazine. It is good to try new things, but doing everything at once can inflate your budget in order to get results you are not sure of or may not need.
• Practicality: When all is said and done, will your new system be what you need? Can it expand for the future, will your people actually use it years from now? At MMS we believe any project we undertake should benefit the client now and in the future.
