BoardroomCase Study:
MMS Boardroom

The MMS Boardroom is our on-site communication and training facility. The boardroom needed to be a working representation of an attractive and high-functioning multimedia environment; in short, a showcase of MMS's ability to design and build a room utilizing the technology that we see and integrate everyday. All disciplines of AV integration needed to be represented, and highly upgradable as new technology comes in to be demonstrated or evaluated.

The Challenge:
Designing a boardroom that anyone can operate with minimum instruction, regardless of technical expertise, through user-friendly controls, while maintaining the highest standards for technical capability. The system needs to be flexible, expandable, and upgradable, as different equipment is added and removed constantly.

PlasmaThe easy user interface for the PolyCom ViewStation on the NEC Plasma.

The Solutions:
MMS designed a communication and presentation room essentially in the round. We used a plasma panel for our video teleconference and presentation applications. We installed a LCD projector to provide larger detailed information to project on a large electric screen. A user-friendly Crestron touch screen with commands like "Turn on the Lights" to allow anyone to control the room. Teleconferencing, 3 different electronic whiteboards, assorted monitors and hidden ceiling speakers completed the line-up.

The System Includes:

NEC 50" Plasma Panel
Polycom Viewstation 512
PolyCom Soundstation
Proxima 9410 SXGA LCD Projector
Plus Copy Data Board
Crestron Wireless TouchScreen controller
SoftBoard Electronic Whiteboard
Denon Surround Sound
DVD, CD, VCR
