Maryville City Schools Technology Fair

The 8 schools that make up Maryville City Schools held an all-day event designed to introduce and train teachers and some students on the newest technology being used today in Maryville's schools. A vast array of classes, instruction, information sharing, skill and knowledge exchanging from teachers who use the technology took place in 4 of the schools. From software training to web development to Digital Camera tips and more- almost 100 separate sessions and labs were available.

Teachers teaching teachers was the theme.

MMS has supplied the Maryville Schools with 18 SMART Board interactive electronic whiteboards, including software, as well as providing projection systems to the schools. Teachers who use the technology regularly shared the way they apply the technology to their particular subjects, from virtual dissections in Biology, to Advanced Geometry, English, Languages, and much more; including special web sites and lesson plans.

Steve White of Multi-Media Solutions was on hand for support, but said he learned more than he taught! This type of training day is one of the most valuable in-service activities teachers can participate in!
