Recommending the Best Digital Signage Software Solution for your application

Since the late 90′s when Digital Signage started being more than just power point, there has been a rapid double digit growth in this market place and with that growth a multitude of companies offering their version of content management software or digital signage software.  The number of companies offering solutions are numbered in the hundreds.  While most of the companies offering solutions in the late nineties were US or Canadian based, today there are solutions being provided by a host of countries on several continents.

Content Guidelines for Digital Signage Networks

The most important investment one makes in their digital signage network is content.  The success or failure of your digital signage network or project depends on all the key elements of a digital signage network or project being considered and addressed.  Hardware, Software, Connectivity, Operations, Design and Business Focus are all key elements that must be addressed but the most important of all of the digital signage ecosystem for success is content.

Keeping content relative and timely are the foundation of a successful digital signage network or project.  However as you and your organization focus on developing and committing that content to a playlist, one should always make sure that your content supports or complies with your content guidelines.  Content guidelines certainly include branding and approved colors and fonts, but it has to go so much further than that to protect your long term interest and success.  Content guidelines must embrace the specifics of what is acceptable and allowable as content on your network.  It has to provide structure to your organization as they commit content to your screen and it must be in writing.  Failure to do so will bring liability exposure to your digital signage network or project that could have long term impact on your network or project.  Reality is the failure to have in place well written content guidelines could force your digital signage network or project to carry and support content that is unacceptable and devastating to your investment.  

This happens more often than not by innocent submission of content that a person thought would be OK just this one time but proves to open your network up to forced equal time for other similar content that has a major negative impact on your investment.  It could in deed cause you to have to shut down your digital signage network in some cases.

It’s what we know, not what sell.  MMS has over 20 years of experience in design and engineering Audio Visual Solutions for complicated or large projects.  From our very origin we have always focused on asking the right questions to understand the project needs and then finding the right equipment to meet those needs.  We never approach a project from the stand point of this is something we sell or could you use this. In other words we do not try to force a square peg into a round hole.

MMS is an Audio Visual Systems Integrator that by the reality of what we have done for the past 20 plus years has developed advanced project management skills.  Today’s world of integration is one that involves understanding the logistics and dynamics of how multiple teams work together to complete a project or task.  MMS has several seasoned project managers that can be contracted to act as owner’s representatives or project managers on complex Audio Visual Projects.

MMS knows how to work with the trades to get things done.  We understand that we must logically work with the HVAC Team, the Network Team, the Site Security Team, Electrical Subcontractor Team, Architect Team, Lighting Contractor Team, Acoustical Team, Plumbing Team & Interior Design Team.  We know how to run or support the weekly progress meetings and help keep everything on track.  We also understand the essential element of communicating pro-actively with all teams and the owner.

Training

With flexibility comes complexity at least when it comes to large audio visual projects.  Today organizations are faced with the challenge of supporting both today’s most current technology and legacy equipment of that same technology.  So our systems have to provide great flexibility and with that flexibility comes complexity in the form of lots and lots of options.  While providing these options are just what all of us in the professional audio visual systems integration business do, what many do not do is compliment competency with the ability to communicate clearly how to embrace and utilize the delivered solution.

Service and Support
MMS has literally 100's of references to support the professional work they have done over the past 20 plus years.  To receive those references we must do more than provide great products and installation services we must also support the project and its components long term.  In a perfect world everything would work forever and there would never be any down time as a result of something failing.  While Commercial Audio Visual Equipment installed properly is very reliable, products still over time have challenges that need professional support.

Included on every MMS installation is 90 days of total support.  Our support services include phone, Video and on-site.  Our experience and trained integration and installation team have the experience and know how to diagnose challenges quickly and if replacement is required, we work with the manufacturers to provide expedient replacement any failed component.  After the first 90 days of support we offer professional service and support contracts that extend that total support program provided in the first 90 days.

In everyone of our quotes you will find a quote for days 91 through 365 and then a quotes for extended years, when this is a valid support opportunity.  We encourage you to consider including this as part of your investment to ensure the best long term outcome for your investment.  MMS Service and Support is also available for systems that we did not install. We would be glad to set up an appointment to do an on-site assessment and provide a written report contracted by the size of the system or how long we estimate it will take.  We can also provide long term support to systems that we did not install or sell after the on-site assessment is completed and equipment is brought back to a functional level that can be supported on a service contract.
